A suspected missile strike on an oil-loading facility used by Turkey-backed opposition forces in northern Syria sparked a massive blaze across a large area where oil tankers are normally parked, aerial and satellite images show.
Syrian opposition groups and at least one war monitor blamed Russia for the strike Friday night near the towns of Jarablus and al-Bab, near the border with Turkey. In a report, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in Britain, said Russian warships in the Mediterranean had fired three missiles that struck primitive oil refineries and tanker trucks in the region.
It said more than 180 trucks and tankers were burned in the massive blaze, and at least four people killed and 24 wounded.
Photos and videos from the air taken by the Syrian opposition's civil defense group known as the White Helmets showed scores of workers struggling to extinguish a massive fire resulting from burning oil tanker trucks in an open field, as black and gray smoke covered the area.

So in the middle of stealing oil from Syria, a rebel group was hit by the government, or one of their allies? Nothing for a decent person to worry about.
Russia is and has been a supporter of Assad (and Iran). Turkey wants N. Syria. Under President Trump we had stable control of oil in Derr Ezzor region.
El Bab was area where Turkey bought of the Jihadi’s after Turkey was badly blodied by the Jihadi’s. Turkey paid Qatar money for Jihadi’s to back away from El Bab.
Since Biden is at the “Helm” (not really) we must have started supporting Turkey and the Jihadi’s again. Spook City is active again.
Russia is supporting their own interests.
The pact betweem Russia and Turkey? Smile. hee hee hee.
Russia does want the strait at Istanbul.
Russia is playing a risk filed game, not wanting to be on the total outs with Turkey or lose its influence in Syria.
Assad wants to rest control of areas of Syria held by terrorist forces held up and supported by Turkey.
What to look for next is any public changes in the Russia-Turkey relationship.
You may also see Biden using the occasion to reach out to Erdogan in some way.
