“Not even close”

It fits your stated criteria.

“Present fast charging stations are 62.5 kw. ... At 900 kw an average EV would charge in seven minutes.”

So “present day” it takes over a 100 minutes to charge an average EV.
That’s more than just time to take a leak!.

Yeah, they’re coming along better than I thought when they were new. But at a higher subsidization than I thought too.

900kw? The future??? What year 2100? I just watched a video of Tesla and their touting 350kw in the future and 400kw v4 Superchargers “beyond the future” Your 900kw chargers are a pipe dream in a distant future at best considering Tesla is at the bleeding edge and even their distant future is less than half of your 900kw number.

Not in my future. Guess my Ram will be my last vehicle. Even Musk says they can’t build enough solar/wind to power 100% elec cars.

Also arent cell phones still using up lithium and cobalt for their batteries as well? That finite resource will become scarce before long creating a total clusterf=ck

From my first post on this thread:
“I read an article a while ago that said companies are paying huge payments to Tesla because of some “Green Credits” scheme of governments.”

Not sure how that “Green Credits” works. (And I’d never find that article now LOL!).

Subsidies are tricky: they’re best when hidden.

We already have 350 kw charging stations. Musk refers to these as ‘children’s toys compared to what he will soon roll out!

Specs for this years models have not been released yet.

I can see people being forced to ration their charging. Suzie can only charge 2 days per week. Reminiscent of 1974/5 all over again.

Where are all these amps supposed to come from? Unicorn farts? Look at the morning rush hour, and calculate how many cars equals that many terawatts of power that is, every morning...

And the Left doesn't want to generate what we have, now. Hydro dams are being torn down to make way for salmon. Say the word nuclear, and Chernobyl is the next word. Bird dicers? Solar is out, since "overnight charging" has a bit of a problem. Coal? Natural gas?

The Left wants people on foot, and EVs are being sold as a back door to putting the proles back in the fields, where they belong.

Other sources say later models will exceed.

Present day technology is 350 kw. Expect to see 400-450 before year-end.

I’m referring to the time spent at the pump. I can fill my 16 gallon tank from almost empty to full in less than 2 minutes. Charging an EV even a Tesla at a 350kw rate would take over an hour
