Attorneys representing Ashli Babbitt's family recently released a statement.
Babbitt was unarmed when she was shot and killed by a law enforcement officer at the Capitol on the day of the riots.
For some reason, the name of the office who shot her has not been released.
Babbitt attorney's statement appears below:
The shooting of Ashli Babbitt on January 6, 2021 by an unidentified U.S. Capitol Police Officer was an unjustified use of deadly force which violated her constitutional rights. It is clear from video footage that Ashli did not pose a danger to the officer, or any other person, when she was shot. Ashli was unarmed. She did not assault anyone. She did not threaten to harm anyone. There was no excuse for taking her life.

So this is a death sentence?
As one who had some experience armed and responsible for securing “Use Of Deadly Force Authorized” areas ( but thankfully never tested ) and government property, I can’t see where this rose to the level it did. In a similar situation we didn’t even have any non lethal weapons at our disposal but still could have stopped the perp without firing a shot. These guys had TASERS, pepper spray, and batons at their disposal.
I still have seen not one satisfactory reason put forward as to why she was the only one shot.
Yes because no riots, no lootings, no fires, no expressions of outrage. Sheep don't break out hell.
Any argument made in a US court today that tries to refer to US law is certain to fail and a ridiculous waste of time. Thr Rule of Law is over in the clown show “judicial” system we have now. Babbitt’s family would have a better crack at justice if they hired a mafia hit man to deliver payback to the murderer of Ashli. The criminal US government knows all this, which is why they won’t release the name of the black killer.
I hate to say this but afraid that there number will be met. They will be paid, and this will be another running out the clock like the election will happen.it will go away. Unless they want to set someone set up.. To be honest it did not even lock like a highly trained person that did this.:

One definition would be a space with locked doors being guarded by uniformed LEOs and with another LEO inside the door pointing a gun at the entry.
I'd consider that secured.
The capitol has no spaces where deadly force is authorized merely for breaking in with zero evidence of being armed.
This particular crowd had broken through/breached every barrier they had encountered. This was the last one between them and the people the guard was sworn to protect. The police clearly didn't have the resources to arrest everyone breaking in.
It sucks but they left the guard no good options.

Remember Terri Schiavo? Sheep made a lot of objections, it actually got noticed. People talked, even in halls of power. But no violence. No riots. Her extended torture and murder proceeded in spite of all civilized objection, all pleas for mercy and humanity.

The family has been quiet all this time, and the media hasn’t pursued them, or we’d have read about it. I’m glad to see they are working with a legal team. Now the media will start attacking them, and Ashli Babbitt.
The appropriate response to them is “So you support gunning down unarmed women..”
The gunman could also have easily hit those SWAT guys behind her; he appears to have fired blindly. There seems to have been no communication.
Furthermore are we even SURE it was a police/security officer that fired? Last video I’ve seen it wasn’t absolutely clear who did the shooting.
I keep wondering if the reason they don’t want to look at this shooting is the offhand chance the shooter wasn’t security but was instead a congressional staffer.
Didn’t a Congressman once state that some members do have weapons in their offices?
Speculation is that he is black. I wonder if we'll ever know his true identity. If he was a street cop, and he shot an armed black man, his name would have been plastered all over the news and internet, his address would have been published, and the media would have already publicly tried him, and found him guilty.

The Capitol Police will say the officer was in fear of his life and safety, and the safety of the others in the Speakers office. No idictment, he'll walk. Probably already has.
