History didn’t happen before the current narrative. It’s like when Black Panther came out a couple of years ago, you had to completely forget that Spawn, Blade, and to a lesser extent Steel were all superhero movies with black characters played by black leads in the 1990’s.
Apparently Brokeback Mountain apparently wasn’t enough. This seems to fit a pattern.

That movie was actually hilarious, I don’t care if it did have homosexual overtones.
