It’s truly astonishing how much President Biden in his first weeks has opted to side with his party’s left wing and its special interests — and against even moderate Americans’ desires.
It’s most obvious in his Mexican-border madness: President Donald Trump worked out perfectly reasonable, humane policies that stemmed the record-breaking, Obama-era surges of migrants at the border. Yet Biden has needlessly moved to kill Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” deal and other agreements with Central American nations that were clearly working. Instead, he set up a temporary freeze on deportations and is talking up plans to offer a path to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants.
All of which has encouraged Central American migrants to rush for the US border: Already, the number of children who cross over this year is on pace to break the all-time record by 45 percent. And he’s had to resort to the notorious “cages” to detain kids who crossed without their families, and it’s only going to get worse as summer hits.
Meanwhile, his end to deportations is also prompting a return to “catch and release” — posing a public-health hazard: More than 100 illegal border-crossers released last week had tested positive for the coronavirus, yet still got sprung. And that’s only one of the ways this policy slams border towns.
None of this is common sense: 55 percent of Americans disapprove of Biden’s curb on deportations, and only far-lefties are happy to see the border surge resume.

Progressives believe in policies that impose their objectives regardless of whether those policies are popular with anyone else. All for our own good of course.
The whole premise of this story is that Biden is actually setting policy. He isn’t, the radical lefty Demoncrats are doing that, Biden is a puppet.

biden made it perfectly clear long before the “election” he intended to be obama’s 3rd term.
Gas just went up another dime, everything else will follow since gas gets it all to the store shelves. I haven’t noticed a serious increase yet, but I do expect it soon.
Stock up canned/dried goods soon. Prices WILL go up.
The part that just seems totally insane is releasing these people into the US, without even bothering to check them for kung flu. And democrats applaud this. They were thinking up all sorts of plans not long ago, and implemented some, to prevent interstate travel of Americans, force them to quarantine once they got to their destination, all sorts of “protective measures” they called them.
Now they cheer as biden sends illegal immigrants he KNOWS are infected, into this country. And he is not announcing their arrival in advance, same thing obama did. They just show up.
This invasion must be stopped. Maybe governors can do something at the state level? I’m not sure. But it is an invasion.
Oh yeah, I just remembered. I saw a picture a couple of days ago of a group of 20 or so illegal immigrants with brand new t-shirts with “biden please let us in” on them, of course in blue and the same font as his campaign nonsense. Just how did these “poor, underpriveledged migrants” *spit* manage to afford brand new t-shirts? Last time I checked political t-shirts were at least 20 - 25 bucks each. These people supposedly came here for a better life because they were destitute and oppressed...so what political organization wasted taxpayer money giving them those shirts? Yeah, I believe it was from donations to a political group...right...
