China could soon be emboldened to try to "forcibly change " the existing order in the western Pacific, the head of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command said.
As its rapidly advancing military approaches "overmatch " with the United States in the region, and absent a convincing deterrent, China could make a move this decade.
"Make no mistake about it, China seeks a new world order—one with Chinese characteristics as they have often said where Chinese national power is more important than international law, " Adm. Phil Davidson said during an American Enterprise Institute forum Thursday.
The United States established an Asia-Pacific policy of free trade and passage after World War II. One fear is that China would restrict access to the South China Sea—a global economic thoroughfare.
"The most important thing I'd like you all to take away from the discussions 5/8 is a fundamental understanding that the period between now and 2026—this decade—is the time horizon in which China is positioned to achieve overmatch in its capability, " the Oahu -based commander said.

What Would War Between America and China Look Like in 2030?
The National Interest|12 days ago
With luck and skill, Washington and Beijing will avoid war, even in 2030. But it behooves planners in both countries to take seriously the possibility that conflict might ensue. The People's Republic of China (PRC) and the United States appear ready to plunge off the precipice of a trade war.
Sure, why not?
As if Japan and Australia would sit it out.
Not with Trident subs.....
There won’t be a war with the Chicoms. These commies will surrender at the word boo.
I mean the commies in charge here. Obviously.
the commies want us to give up without a fight.
They’ve taken over most of this country and now want to give the country away.
I’m not sure China’s military is intended to fight the USA, it’s intended to intimidate it’s neighbors like Taiwan, Vietnam, and other Pacific Rim countries....
They are busy taking down the USA by buying off it’s elites including a POTUS, Wall Street Executives, etc..
Then they are rotting out the middle class thru massive trade imbalances...
Finally they are pumping Fentanyl in massive quantities onto our streets....
Why fight the USA when you can do it without firing a shot....
Got to keep that military industrial complex fed.
If we didn’t form tech think-tanks with the Japanese and Australians to defeat their technology, then it is not a serious issue.
There was a certain intel collection program that used to make us a lot of money, but is now defunct, and everyone in the IC knows about it. Until that is turned on and managed correctly, screw you, admiral.
I brought this up in open forum in the IC and no one wanted to do shit. So don’t come reaching for our pocket books if you can’t do the fundamentals.
Don’t we already have one carrier group around there, as well as two off the coast of California?
Another stupid-ass “China is Superman” article.
To what purpose, you ask.
So the dumb-ass survivalist squirrels who bought tons of bacon-flavored TVP during Y2K can find idiots to buy their stale and out-dated surplus supply.
Let me correct that paste-job for you.
YOU can’t vote because you live in a sh*thole and haven’t yet figured out how local elections work.
Here’s a hint for you:
Electing a pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriff is done by county elections via local voters. This local sheriff, elected by voters in the county, gives the county legal and armed muscle to protect the community and the families in that community.
And thanks to the free traitors, they're doing it with our money.
“Yeah but I’ll bet China doesn’t have hardly any BLTQG’s or whatever on active duty.”
Yeh, you’re right. But it doesn’t change the fact that the Chinese “supermen” got their asses totally kicked by Indian Gurkhas at Galwan Valley this past summer.
Communist and socialist going to war, where have seen that before?
