Hurricane Irma fatally removed the tops of two of my six palms in 2017. (One a 20-foot Foxtail).

One coconut palm was fatally flattened by large flying debris, another merely laid out flat—and is recovering with an interesting bend to the trunk. The two remaining palms, protected by structures, are thriving well.

That's too bad. Foxtails are beautiful. My coconut palms are very old. They've survived many storms (and spiral whitefly through injection at the base of the trees). We are waterfront and they take quite a beating. They look pretty battered after the storms but always come back beautifully. I have a couple of Sylvester Palms in the front of the house and they have done well, too.
