Pinging for Korean War Medal of Honor recipient Fr. Emil Kapaun’s remains have been identified. Rev. Emil Kapaun died of pneumonia on May 23, 1951, as a prisoner of war during the Korean War. He served as an Army chaplain during World War II and the Korean War.
