Rove’s criticism was unfactual and false. He must have been listening to a different CPAC speech than I heard.
Trump’s achilles heel was always his seeming inability to identify and install trustworthy allies. His downfall was abetted by the quisling traitors in his own inner circle. His decision to eff around with repugnant and irredeemable GOPee instead of launching a new political party is very disheartening and makes the possibilty of winning harder, not easier. GOPee Delenda Est!

Before Trump’s speech the other day Rover was on there talking about how Trump had lost the suburban vote and that’s why he lost the election. No commentary on the fact that he won all but one bellwether county or that he won 2500 counties versus Biden’s 425.
Also no commentary about RAT cheating on steroids. Trump did NOT LOSE the election.
I think the main reason just about all of us dumped Fox is because they did not even challenge the results they did not even question the obvious irregularities and inconsistencies in the voting patterns.
And then you have a guy like Karl Rover who should know better. He should be the first one in line questioning the results at least give us an explanation. No he can’t give any explanation he can’t explain anything that happened . On the other hand I’m reading Dick Morris these days and he is spot on and realizes there’s something wrong took place.

It’s worse. As you said, they believe the election was stolen. And they admit (to themselves) that it can happen in the U.S. — because it did. It’s their new-found liberal ideology that is causing them to report lies and further the false narrative, just like the rest of the MSM.

Rove is a great example of where they tried to point conservatism: wars in the Middle East and tax cuts and open borders because of muh free market and acting like you care about abortion in election years (looking for any possible way out on the issue). It’s as if people like Rove and those who fund the GOPe saw Pat Buchanan’s 1992 speech and said “We will do the opposite.”
They warped Reagan’s economic agenda into a quasi religion, took Reagan’s biggest mistake (amnesty) and made it into a pillar of their platform, and manipulated the conservative natural support for the military (and Evangelicalism) into the agenda of Dick Cheney, John Bolton, Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz, David Frum, and the rest of the neocons.
Trump continues to be a near-perfect litmus test. That said, Rove, while certainly pompous, is no fool. RINO? One of the worst of them.
