The head of a private Orthodox Jewish security patrol in Brooklyn was indicted on Thursday by a US federal court for the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
Jacob Daskal, who founded the Shomrim group of Borough Park nearly 30 years ago, was charged with coercing a minor to engage in illicit sexual conduct, transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct, according to the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Did they cross state lines? That would make it Federal.
He was charged by the Feds.
Yup,I know...but I was wondering why. Crossing state lines with an underage girl is a Federal offense. That could explain why the Feds are charging him. I can’t think of any other reason.
Maybe that she moved to Chicago and he contacted her from NY for nude video chat and received nude photos across state lines?

It reads as if he raped her in New York and perhaps Chicago and to top it off there are videos of both of them, she being encouraged by him to perform same acts and he willfully going Jeffery Tobin in the chat. She was 15, he is pushing 60.
The girl will be 60 before he has hopes of getting out of prison.
That math is not in his favor.
The Mann Act is still in force though I suspect there are other charges.
What an a$$hole. He had respect, stature, had done a good thing. But nooooo! He just had to boink a 15-year-old. Dummy. Threw everything away just to get off.
