Our son is gay. I knew this in my heart long before he would ever admit to us even after I would ask him. When he finally told us, he admitted also that he was afraid to tell us thinking that we would not accept him as ours anymore. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our kids were raised with unconditional love.
That being said, this amazing man who is single and childless is fighting on the front lines everyday against the woke culture forcing critical race theory on our children in our schools. He attends zoom meetings and schools board meeting and writes letters to fight against this scourge.
Yes, he is Conservative. He is exceedingly pro 2nd amendment. He took his 64 year old momma by the hand to teach her to shoot and get her concealed carry. And he is the kid who graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, putting himself through college with a bachelor degree and master’s degree.
He is the most kindest and compassionate person I know.
He is NOT less in God’s eyes. He is more.
And there are thousands out there just like him.
I will accept your son as a fellow conservative.
I will not, however, promote any aspect of the LGBT agenda as a condition of his allegiance.

Amen... before I met Mrs D, I was married. My stepson, her son, came out to us when he was 12 (in 1992). I accepted him but his mom thought he was Satan. Ex wife could make AOC look like a Reagan Republican 😃, she was for gay rights, except for her kid. We broke up a year later when he tried to hang himself, but I found him. Today, he still calls me once a week, he has a partner and they adopted 2 kids. He is a 2A supporter, pro-life, military supporter (he was in the Army), business owner (Auto Repair) and his partner is a town council member.
You sound like a wonderful dad, who raised an amazing son.
