It was just so surreal watching a humbled Donald Trump take the stage at CPAC, visibly shaken by his election loss, bend the knee to Romney-Cheney Republicanism, and express his hope that the attack dogs in the press would leave him alone during his twilight years away from the public eye.
Er...nope. That doesn't even sound believable. The only place where that establishment fantasy played out was the online fan fiction board of the Hillary Clinton–John Kasich–Ben Sasse mutual support and suffering group. Most presidents leave office looking worse for wear; six weeks after being deplatformed by the swamp, Donald Trump looks more like a wrestler getting ready to rumble.
If Washington thought it could weaken President Trump's appeal by making him an "enemy of the state" and trashing his supporters as seditionists, it miscalculated. If anything, the D.C. mafia cemented his status as the quintessential outsider against whom all future outsiders will be compared, and it has only made the president's in-your-face, take-no-prisoners style of political pugilism more cutting.

As much as the Biden team needs to tend to their ‘garden’ (objectives)...from this point onto November 2022’s election...they are already forced into a campaign mode. Without any real achievements...they have a marginal path ahead.
Toss in a cognitive problem, a no-name VP, the Green-Zone fencing going up around the capital building, and a massive immigration mess brewing...there’s not much to sell voters on a positive Biden agenda.

Same here and it feels like our entire government knows it, too. With all the fences and razor wire it seems like DC is on a 2 year hiatus. Joe and Kamala may have stolen an election but they’ll forever be illegitimate.

POTUS Trump was, at best, a temporary reprieve. We've sown our destruction for the past 60 years.

Pollsters know that when a “named” politician runs against a “generic” member of the opposite party they don’t poll as well as when the opponent has a name.
Biden was as close to a “generic” as possible. He’s not anymore.
I’m NOT suggesting this is part of a plan or 8 D chess, but it is feasible that Trump’s 2nd go at POTUS might have a vastly more friendly Congress and much higher approval ratings than he would have had right now.
Look at what he managed to get done the first go-round with all of the opposition from Democrats, RINO’s and the Swamp. Imagine what he could do in a second term.
I’d really like to see Trump going on a nationwide rally tour.
For 2022 candidates in their home states. Starting with top notch conservative who are primarying his target list.
