So true. My Greek grandparents are from Turkey, where their people lived for thousands of years.... I mean in about 300 BC when Alexander the Great went to Asia Minor, he MET Greek speaking people, They were already there.
After WWI, the Turks under Kemal Pasha, kicked out the Greeks and Armenians.
First however, they were not permitted to speak Greek or teach their children Greek. Then their property was stolen and finally they were sent on forced marches through Turkey, to boats and kicked out of the home they had occupied for a couple thousand years.
It’s a common plan throughout history. BTW-the world sat by with their arms folded for THAT, too.
