As much as I hate to I give Collins a pass. There a very fine line she has to walk whilst threading the needle.
I’m absolutely certain we can’t expect much better from Maine. But she is 68 so we can count on losing that seat when she retires.

80% of Maine is Trump country....the Second Congressional district. Candidate Trump won it in 2016 and 2020, for one electoral vote. Maine splits it’s votes, like Nebraska. It covers 27,000 square miles and is the largest congressional district in area east of the Mississippi.

We have a moonbat woman, Janet Mills, as governor, but for eight years we had Paul LePage, the most conservative governor in the country at the time. He was term-limited in 2018, but claims he’s going to run again in 2022.

Maine is VERY strong in regards to the Second Amendment, with private sales of firearms, Constitutional Carry, etc.

As for Collins, she voted in favor of President Trump’s tax cuts and the overwhelming majority of President Trump’s judicial picks. A democrat senator would have been a “no” vote across the board.

However, Collins pissed off huge numbers of people in Maine by voting to convict President Trump. I don’t believe she will be able to show her face in the Second District without people yelling at her.

As for losing that seat, it depends on who runs for it. Collins just won a six year term.
