-”I built and rebuilt 17 houses in the past 7 years, most of the items are not made in China”
Block brick, plywood sheeting, windows and doors of course not. But nearly 100% of electrical and plumbing components and otyer assorted hardware are made in China...especially tools. Even Craftsman tools are nearly all made in China same with Kobalt, Black and Decker, Milwaukee and Dewault
I believe Dewalt tools are made in the US, although I don’t often replace tools.
all lumber, sheetrock, wood floors, doors, paint, siding, pvc trim windows, roofing, wood trim, appliances, and when I can cabinets - if not the ones I use are made in Vietnam.
I do the best I can researching products, some are just not made here.
Every dollar I can take away from China to give back to the US counts. Imagine if all Americans took the time to spend their money wisely.
Dewalt (SBD) had great powertool mfg plants in Easton Md and Fayetteville NC. Both are gone now I think.
