When a handful of potential Republican presidential hopefuls convene on Thursday for the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), there will be one notable absence from the speaking lineup: Nikki Haley.
Haley, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and a potential 2024 White House contender, has found herself isolated from former President Trump and the populist wing of the GOP that he commands after a scathing interview with Politico in which she denounced her former boss and wrote off his future influence in Republican politics.
The fallout from Haley’s remarks underscores the risks associated with her strategy of criticizing Trump’s actions and establishing a separate political identity while at the same time trying to appeal to his base of supporters.

Trump declined her request last week for a face-to-face meeting at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. He has indicated that he will exact revenge on Republicans whom he believes have crossed him, throwing Haley’s future political ambitions into uncertain territory.

Both factions have a good number of adherents, and the Haley/Romney/Graham/McConnell side has the better press coverage.

This story has problems with it all should know. And I’m surprised no one has thought about it... First, Nikki Haley screwed up by allowing herself to be “interviewed” by one of the most fake-news sources in this country, if not THE most fake. They are so ANTI-Trump, CNN & MSNBC are green with envy.
Here on FR we ‘old-timers’ know these things and normally ignore using them as “news sources” because they ARE notoriously fake news. Heck, they are so unreliable that if you, I and one of Politico’s “reporters” were in the same room as you were “interviewed” and they actually reported the truth(?) I would STILL doubt it was reported truthfully! And, I would never cite them as a “reliable source”.
So... what did Nikki Haley have to say about that “interview”?????? Was it true or a misrepresentation of what she had to say???? With the way our “media machine” covers for their fake news reporting how are WE supposed to correct their lies? Maybe she wants to let her (and our) president know she did NOT betray him as they (Politico) “reported”. Remember her as she was as our President’s U.N. Ambassador... a real fire-brand, and, I find it very hard to believe she said what they (Politico) “report” she said.
She’s too stupid and conniving to be in the party now.
