I have friends that live Oregon and they tell me it has gone downhill and gotten crazy there. They avoid Portland due the homeless problem and nutso riots that happen for no reason now. They are going n the southern part of the state which isn’t too bad according to them except for Eugene which is crazy too. Too bad...we had considered moving there.
Yes, we have a grandson, wife, and gr-grandson in Veneta.
I have friends that used to live in Oregon but have left because of Oregon’s downward spiral.
It’s not going to get better. They have legalized what was once illegal and made illegal what was once legal. And the proposed laws are the same direction.
I will leave when the last grand kid graduates from high school. If not sooner.
East of the Cascades mostly isn’t too bad, except Bend. The trouble with anywhere in Oregon, though, is the nutso state government which is dominated by Portland and Eugene.
I was born and raised in Oregon, but I wouldn’t move back.
