California Democrats are so concerned the campaign to oust Governor Gavin Newsom may work that they’re going straight to the political tricknology playbook we saw in the November election and scheming to defeat the recall by nearly any means necessary. The Sacramento Bee reports there are several ways they’re considering putting a monkey wrench into the works.
Here’s a list of the ways in which Democrats plan to make rule changes or do what they can to benefit their political party:
The Bee reports that Democrats are considering trying to change the date of the recall to the “next regularly scheduled primary election, when Democrats are more likely to vote,” instead of November of 2021. They played the calendar game with the recall of State Senator Josh Newman in 2018.
They’re considering sending absentee ballots to every voter whether they’ve asked for one or not to swamp the system.
They will attempt to convince people who signed the petition to remove their names in a 30 day period after the signatures are turned in.
Their strategy is to “reduce signatures.” As many signatures as possible will be thrown out keep the recall from qualifying for the ballot.
Already using COVID shut downs to slow down the signature gathering such that recall backers went to court to get more time.
Believe they’ll use the extended lock downs to keep people from voting.
They’ve begun spinning the recall as a “distraction.” Tried to convince Californians that with all the money being wasted by Democrats (see EDD scandal) spending more on a recall for a new governor is wasteful.

In other words - electoral fraud.
The democrat party is a criminal organization, period, end of story.
The democrats should make the voters show id, apparently that suppresses the vote.
November is too long. The last one was on an October 7. An oddball date works in our favor but if there’s a way they can thwart it by cheating they will.
Sounds like many opportunities for Democrats to miss deadlines, and what if they do? Do the recall advocates to have to sue at each stage, for instance?
Definitely not something that will get heard at the scrotus.
You can be sure Nancy will be at the helm of this trickery.....

She can write an EO for EO-Joe.
States are not allowed to recall (D) Govs.
Meanwhile...
Hasn’t the Supreme Court already ruled that election fraud is not an issue, providing it’s Democrats committing it?
Oregon committed fraud too! Our recall petition was “short by 1%” according to government officials.
There is serious fraud behind every democrat governor.
The Dims increasingly are becoming a criminal operation.
I do believe the election has to be within 80 days of signature certification. That could mean in the summer.
With 5 million republican voters in the state I can’t understand why we can’t get a million and a half signatures in one instant. No need for money. County gop offices have the names and addresses. $1 could pay for postage per voter.
Suing in Ca has no effect. Ca voters passed a resolution intended to kill the bullet train. Politicians ignored it.
So, citizens sued. Ca court ruled that politicians can do whatever they want.
There has been no rule of law in Ca for years.
This is the model that will be rolled out across US.
Stalin, Mao, PolPot, etc., did the same. Just watch.
...or they will have ten fake Republicans running and only one Democrat on the ballot. The fake Republicans will dilute the vote and the one Democrat will be declared the winner.

I do not know the answer other than that I think the petition organizers are not very organized in their approach to getting signatures. I know three non-activists that are doing their own work getting the petition circulated and they each had to do their own work to get legitimate materials and learn what to do with them. What they got and what they learned did not come from any official petition organizers. It’s like they just “threw it out there” and expected folks to just pick it up and run with it themselves.
Some people like to play with snakes but don’t live very long.
