Oh, trust me, I know first-hand. Back in my keeper days, I used to have a handraised bobcat as a pet for a few years. Even tame ones can get pretty feisty. There’s also a fellow up in Montana with a youtube channel, who has a female bob named Zya, and she’s feisty enough to smack around the local wild bob tom, when her human slave has her out for a walk.
Canadian Lynx are bigger than bobcats and just as wild. And this one looks fairly mature. See how still it is? That’s what i mean by “turning him off.” Guess maybe farmers know a little something about animals after all. Or at least Canadians do.
One of the guys in my neighborhood did just that with a bobcat that was rabid when it attacked him...he broke its neck though.
My dad used to tell my brother and I when we about to get into something stupid that might be hard to get out of: "It is a lot easier to catch a bobcat than it is to let go of it." The visual picture of that always makes me laugh.
