There is one major lesson that conservatives and frankly all Americans must learn: never accept at face value the reporting of any news event. By foolishly acquiescing to the version of a story put out by the denizens of the mainstream media, the citizenry allows the ruling oligarchy to set the narrative and exploit the inevitably fabricated incidents that further their cause. In place of “mainstream media,” they ought to be called Gaslight Media, for their role is not to report the truth, but rather to manipulate the public into a mental state conducive to obedience. As defined medically, gaslighting is:
…a form of psychological abuse where a person or group makes someone question their sanity, perception of reality, or memories. People experiencing gaslighting often feel confused, anxious, and unable to trust themselves.These statists are aware that once their version of a story has been repeated ad nauseum for days or weeks the bulk of the populace will accept it as the truth, thus, achieving near-permanent status in the national discourse.
Every quasi-totalitarian movement in modern history has employed a Gaslight arm to further their aims and manipulate the masses. What was once a respected vehicle of newsgathering and reporting, the Gaslight Media, is now the full-throated disinformation ministry of the left-wing ruling oligarchy.
The most common thread throughout the history of those determined to achieve societal and governmental hegemony is the unabashed utilization of falsehoods that will aid in achieving their ends. The simple fact of the matter is the left lies. All who pledge fealty to any version of Marxism/socialism lie. Bootlickers currying favor from the ruling elites lie. Lying is the foundational principle of totalitarianism. A corollary of that principle is the deliberate misreporting of events to give voice to those lies.

What is interesting is how, after all these years, we finally have a perfect storm of a fully indoctrinated gaslighting media, a fully indoctrinated Big Tech social media, a full communist takeover of the Democrat Party (not that they were ever any good), a Globalist movement around the world intent on a “Great Reset” for killing capitalism and installing communism, and a resurgent communist China who is poised to take advantage of all the aforementioned propitious and perfectly choreographed events.

I only add that it was necessary to infiltrate and infect other institutions - education (public and private), government (all branches, federal, state, local), many religious institutions, and multinational corporations. To quote Orwell:

Living in the vicinity of 3 major universities, let’s just say there are a lot of Parsons.
Gaslighting is the ultimate degradation. Followed closely by liberal projection which is a form of weaponized stereo typing.

There is simply no way the Left will give up the control of the population that they have had with the virus. Look to the White House resident Biden declare a Climate Change Emergency just before he falls into an irreversible fog of senility. (He has to be the one to call it. Harris is simply too loony left to make it credible.) The Climate Emergency will give the Democrats the same population control they have now. Trump and all 80 million of his voters will be declared to be "domestic terrorists", and forced mask wearing will be nothing compared with the new controls to stop CO2. The Texas wind turbine failures only killed a few dozen residents. The CO2 fiascos will kill millions.

In my county we had a lot of bootleg propane hookups during the 2008-9 recession and energy price bubble. Electricity was high, delivered propane was sky high, and the only thing some people could do was scrounge for 20 pound tanks and hook them to the outside of the house or trailer where the 100 gallon tank was before it was taken away for nonpayment. The house fittings are not made for repeated disconnects. Undoubtedly there were very dangerous leaks.
That was just a small taste of what happens when people are just trying to stay warm. The coming fossil-free winters will destroy America's forests. There are park rangers who will look the other way if you take out more than just deadfall which you can get a permit to do. But eventually they will send out stormtroopers (who will live in well-heated homes) to shoot anyone collecting firewood.
People use farm diesel in diesel heaters which are the most nasty form of heat, but they'll do anything to survive. All forms of combustable heat will be improperly vented since venting wastes heat. Some propane can be burned unvented but that is nasty too, I did that for a couple years and had the greasy film on everything. Mostly people will burn wood like I do, but a lot of it will be in inefficient barrel or other makeshift stoves. Air quality will be very poor in the winter.
That's just heat. When the anti-CO2 jihad hits farming the result will be starvation.
A few years back I read a projection where there would be few large cities left in the north of the US because of heating costs; as our economy changed there was little use for many of these cities anymore.
Wasting massive amounts of money to support (feed, clothe, house - including heating) huge populations of idle people doesn’t make sense - yet they imported foreign populations into those cities specifically to counter the flight of the makers and their employers. Somalis in Minneapolis and Maine are obvious examples, but they are trafficking Hispanics throughout the north as well (many years ago Denver started having large Cinco de Mayo celebrations).
The “perfect storm” was engineered’ it isn’t a coincidence.
I boycott the media because it has become simply unbearable; while I was already reduced to listening for simply weather and traffic, now the newswhore has to add that Trump left the Paris Climate Accords after describing a routine rainstorm.
I’ve worked crappy jobs in the past, but I can’t imagine living with myself if I worked as a media prostitute repeating endless lies.
How did they get pregnant? A male that identified as female? The word abomination comes from somewhere.
That's the problem with brainwashing. They don't repeat endless lies.

Once they believe the big picture, the little lies are just necessary fudgings. They probably aren't even aware of them.
And then on top of that, according to postmodernism (which is their new view of the world), reality is what you want it to be. The facts are not necessarily the truth or vice-versa.
I should have added...if their employers told them to always seek the truth, they would be all over the place in their thinking—constantly getting into trouble with conflicting statements.
But when you tell them to toe the party line—the official narrative—it gets easier and easier as time goes by.
The bigger problem for the rest of us up north is they will ban wood heat and force everyone into the city, which is most of the Agenda 21 thing. VIrginia is not too far north but if they wanted to force me out they probably could.
When Obama bought a beach house, it was very clear he DIDN’T believe it; he was repeating it for the benefit of his handlers.
The creepiest example of this was this recent election, where EVERYONE (TV, radio, internet) in the mainstream media was repeating the same lines starting at the same time. The collusion was very evident - they were all getting their orders from one source (no thinking or individual input involved/allowed).
I believe the vote-bundling is a secondary consequence of the trafficking of Mexicans; the primary one would seem to be importing CONSUMERS into areas abandoned by Americans and the companies that employ them. Much of the housing in those dying areas would be abandoned (ghost towns), and the gubmint worker infrastructure (schools etc.) would collapse. I say this from personal experience; half the schools in my town in NJ would close without all the foreign students.
I agree coerced urbanization is a goal, but this virus set that back decades; home prices outside cities have risen as people realize how much control they’ve given up by entering the urban reservations.
