The owner of the site is a former full professor of climate science at Georgia Tech who has left academia, probably for being a climate heretic from the perspective of many in modern climate "science".
It is a sad statement on the state of our modern overly-politicized culture that the author of this well though out and informed essay feels the need to have it posted anonymously.
Period.
The Left and its Media need to own their propaganda.
I don’t know but I know it will be put on Abbott and he is the next target of the Ministry of Truth.
Thanks you Obama and your militant EPA...
In the words of President Ronald Wilson Reagan: “....I’m from the government and I’m here to help”
Thanks for this. Anything posted at Dr. Judith Curry’s website is gold. Count on it. An eminent climate scientist, former Chair of the Earth & Envirionental Sciences Dept. at Georgia Tech with several hundred peer reviewed articles in science journals & many appearances before Congress on the subject, she very publicly broke ranks with Michael Mann 15 or so years ago. Now she’s called a “climate denier” by the a’holes in the climate crisis scam.
This is the first time in Texas history that power generation has failed. Coal never left us hanging, never.
In the past, if the power was out, it was because storms damaged lines.
This was a government power outage. And the Texas gop (Bush division) has run the state since 1995. They can point fingers, but they were enthusiastic wind advocates and gas advocates with no requirement for onsite storage like coal.
Ping
Wind and solar are worthless and unreliable. They only exist because of subsidies and the related kickbacks to government. They are incapable of competing without legislation to hamstring coal and nuclear and to subsidize themselves.
It’s a fact.
Texas uses at least 25% more in the summer.

I ain’t saying they couldn’t have done some things better, but Texas was singled out by Obama’s EPA and forced into this crap...
>>At issue are new Federal rules to cut pollution from power plants. Each state would have to come up with a plan that would cut carbon pollution, or greenhouse gases, by an average of 30 percent in less than two decades. Texas, with all its refineries and a lot of coal-burning power plants, is the largest producer of greenhouse gases and is being asked to cut more emissions than other states.<<
The Texas GOP, Abbott included when he was AG, fought this crap for years, from 2011...
PELOSI, BIDEN, SCHUMER.
And yet here you are, tolerating our substandard comments.
The big problem is that green energy needs basically 100% redundant backup from reliable sources which is a real economic problem.
Like saying I have this electric car, but also another gas car in the garage when the electric can can’t be charged or is out of juice.
And that's the only time you can count on TX's multi-billion $ wind/solar investment. An ROI nightmare for taxpayers. Thank you, George Bush and Rick Perry.
If Texas hadnt gone in for that T Boone Pickens plan to put windmills everywhere, they wouldn’t have needed emergency permission. There went in big for green.
Nuclear in Texas was least affected. I don’t see our leaders having the courage to increase reliance on it. In the meantime, we rats will just have to run harder in the treadmill doing more of the same.
