Former President Donald Trump said he was not interested in returning to Twitter after he was permanently banned from the platform last month.
“It’s become very boring. We don’t want to go back to Twitter,” Trump told Newsmax’s Greg Kelly on Wednesday. “I’ll tell you, it’s not the same. If you look at what’s going on with Twitter, I understand that it’s become very boring and millions of people are leaving.”
Trump, who has been one of the most active presidents on social media, was permanently suspended from Twitter following the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol. The targeted policing of Trump’s posts occurred throughout his presidency and ramped up following the Nov. 3 election, when the former president and his team repeatedly joined entreaties to independently review the integrity of the results in several states.
Twitter justified its censorship by claiming that the president had violated its “Glorification of Violence Policy” after he posted a message urging protesters to remain peaceful and leave the Capitol. The company has also removed many other accounts, mainly conservative personalities and voices, on the ground of harmful speech.
Twitter CFO Ned Segal said earlier this month that Trump would not be allowed on the platform again after he was removed.
“If you are removed from the platform, you are removed from the platform,” Segal said, adding that the ban applies “whether you’re a commentator, you’re a CFO, or whether you are a former or current public official.”
Trump also expressed his frustration while using the platform, criticizing the platform’s “flagging” of his posts on content that they claim to be disputed such as election fraud claims.

I had twitter lock my account for “violating its child porn policy” because I posted a montage of unedited pix of Biden groping kids.
I deleted it so I could get back in and tell folks how I got locked for exposing a pedophile while the pedophile got a free ticket.
Twitter users should be left to wallow in their vile Leftist communist echo-chamber. No pro-Americans should still be on that platform after the attacks on our constitution we’ve witnessed in the past five years culminating with the removal of the President of the United States of America from the platform.
I would shut it down if they would un-suspend me. I appealed 3 times. They just want to keep me and other permanently suspended people for the numbers while not letting me do anything, IMO.
When can I vote for Trump?
ahhh...didn’t realize that. It would be interesting to see the actual numbers of suspended accounts...not that all of them would shut down their accounts but you never know.
