He did nothing wrong. But he’s a tone deaf simpleton and his wife is an unsupportive selfish idiot.
He should have been standing in front of a frozen windmill for a press conference.
He could have done like Alex Jones and visited ERCOT headquarters, looked through the windows and pointed out how THEIR light and heat was still turned on.
He could have prepped himself to be ready to fight the green new deal push.
Hell, he could have worked at a warming center or soup kitchen pretending he cared.
Last on the list should be a trip to Cancun because his wife and daughters whined. He said he was just being a good dad? Then cool, go be a dad. Leave the work of government to real men.
And that's really the point.
At a minimum, if he isn't going to "lend a hand" via one of those examples...he should have just stayed in D.C., or even just went home to TX and kept out of the news while he was dealing with his own property.
You can't get much more tone deaf than traveling to Cancun while your state is going through a once in a generation type deep freeze and millions without power and/or a means to heat their homes.
Quit a boneheaded move.
Not only that, but it gave the wanna be mob boss in Albany some breathing room from the very real political scandal of intentionally mixing the China virus with the elderly.
If I were him I would be in the office and in the face of each and every ERCOT officer any second I wasn’t in front of the cameras or organizing something, ANYTHING for relief.
lol you funny
Bingo.
This Texan doesn’t care what he was doing.
Cruz should have informed the accusers that his family left the state so they’d wouldn’t be using any precious electricity and water. His leaving saved ERCOT from a complete crash. Good on Cruz!
“ But he’s a tone deaf simpleton”
And you throw baseless insults around.
Cruz memorized the Constitution as a child and is on the Princeton Hall of Fame debate team.
Do you have that beat?
That's not quite true. When he realized it wasn't playing well that he bugged out off to Cancun, he lied. Then he lied again. Then he lied some more. That was wrong.
