Here, Cruz’s only mistake was to let the media bully him out of his vacation. There are plenty of ways he could have fought back; and, if doesn’t learn them, the left will strike again in this area. They smell weakness like we smell our wives’ good cooking.

Yet Cruz himself made an apology crawl on Hannity tonight.
And...
It was disinfo that he was just being an escort or going back home right after the plane arrived.
The plan was for he, his wife and kids to go to the beach for several days and ride out the storm while his constituents suffered back home. He said he would stay throughout the weekend and work remotely.

He was dumb and gutless for doing that. Trump showed how it's done. They tried to pull a few thousand of these FAKE, CONTRIVED scandals on him. If Trump had cared what the media would say or the opposition would say he would have accomplished NOTHING.

A lot of people are saying that but that’s the second mistake. The first mistake was to go on the vacation in the first place. There is a time and a place. You don’t vacation during a historic storm when you’re a Senator of a state, send the kids and the wife, but you need to stay.
The lefties found a way to change the story from the failure of “green energy” to how horrible those Republicans are.
Are you “canceling” Cruz, because of this? If so, yeah, you should be ashamed.
I’ve been with FR a while now. There are a handful of hateful anti-Cruzers who predictably damn Cruz at every opportunity. They should be shamed. I really wish they’d just stop shooting at an ally and focus their energies at fighting the enemy instead.

To all those saying Cruz did nothing wrong - it doesn’t have to be wrong to make you look bad and anyone who thinks Republicans and Democrats are judged by the same criteria has been in hibernation for the last decade.
Cruz really doesn’t need to be screwing up as much as he has been.
Exactly. He did nothing wrong, but by saying to the media he made a mistake was just plain stupid. Just another case where a Republican put himself on the defensive because he let the Democrats and the media control the narrative.
Cruz? isn’t he the guy that ran for president despite knowingly not qualified by the guidlines set forth by the Constitution about actually being a natural born citizen?
Yeah, I do agree. He is not so bad. I would go to cancun too, if I could. I don’t hold “this” against him.
