Impossible. I was told he has no authority whatsoever in a state matter.
If a person decides to take leave or vacation It’s strictly up to that person unless there are recalls in place or emergencies going on.
Did Congress recall anybody? No.
Is there an emergency going on? Kind of, but Congress has done nothing to tell their members that they have to stick around.
So Ted Cruz is not at fault here.
He doesn’t. But he can stay informed and on top of the situation. He seems to be doing that. Do you really need it explained to you how that’s not the same as having authority within the state?
