Former President Donald Trump has largely been quiet since leaving office Jan. 20, but he is reportedly considering getting involved in a California gubernatorial election later this year if the efforts to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom are successful.

On Wednesday, Bloomberg TV's Kevin Cirilli reported that Trump is "carefully eyeing and weighing" whether he should "inject some of the Trump political machine into a potential California governor runoff election."

As a Californian I am curious and projecting my own idea of how this could impact not only the recall. But who we put in his place. I DO like President Trumps thinking. :D

If you want to fix electoral fraud, and end corrupt, one-party leftist progressive rule - go for the head of the snake.

Chinage California, and everywhere else will fall into line.

A Trump MAGA campaign in California would be a dream come true for many, and a nightmare for the Leftards who have turned this once-beautiful state into the crap hole it is today.

It would be enjoyable, but if Trump becomes deeply involved in the recall, the movement will suddenly become a referendum on Trump’s popularity in California, not Gavin’s blundering.

I say Trump should endorse the movement, but keep his distance for now. Let the recall grow or fail on it’s own steam.

Gotta believe there is huge pent-up angst in CA flyover country, over a lot of lefty b.s.

Just needs a patriotic catalyst to get it real hot.

Then, AZ. Then, CO. Then, MN. Then, IL. Then, MI. Then, NY...

What?! That is not going to help. That may just push voters who don't like Newsom to vote for the recall.

The reality is that Trump supporters in CA are going to vote to recall Newsom. There are a lot of CA voters who hate Trump, but don't like Newsom. Trump getting involved may make them vote for Newsom.

The best thing Trump could do for the recall is support Newsom. That's the reality of the electorate in the state.

Can we say Ric Grenell for Governor?
I think so.

I think this is a mistake. While I appreciate the sentiment and the fight that Trump shows, I think it is important for Californians themselves to toss these idiotic policies and politicians.

Put Trump’s name on this and it will no longer be characterized as “grass-roots” or “of the people” - it will be all about Trump.

You can say you support it, but try and lead it and it likely hurts the cause and ties your reputation to the results.

Just my .02

IMHO He will go after Gruesome & the rest of the Gov's who screwed up w/ the Nursing Homes, you know the names, Saint Andrew is 1st up to bat, without PDJT, the whole State wants him gone.

With that said, watch Janice Dean who lost her in-laws to this mess, and speaks out vociferously about it, and more and more people on Twitter are asking her to run for Governor.

PDJT doesn't have to personally attack these Gov's, just ask for an accounting, support & or get going recall petitions and let us run with it.

Absolutely there is. 1 out of every 3 votes in November here went to Trump. But 2 out of every 3 went to Biden. California is solidly in Democrat hands. Newsom will most likely be replaced with another leftist.

Read it again.

Trump says he’ll get in after the recall succeeds...to back a successor to Gov Nuisance.

My first thought is that he shouldn’t spend any political capital in this fight.

If that mail in ballot crap succeeds, Trump won’t get the chance.

Explain how it’s flawed. There are a chunk of Trump supporters in CA, but overall Trump did worse in CA in 2016, than Romney did in 2012.
