Cuomo said 'he can destroy me': NY assemblyman Ron Kim alleges governor threatened him over nursing homes scandal

While many legacy media outlets helped bury Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D-N.Y.) COVID-19 nursing home scandal, some Democratic officials in New York have refused to play ball. New York State Assemblyman Ron Kim (D-Queens) has vocally condemned Cuomo after his uncle, Son Kim, died in a nursing home in April after suffering COVID-19 symptoms. On Wednesday, Kim told The New York Post that Cuomo threatened him last Thursday before the governor condemned Kim in a press conference.
Cuomo reportedly called Kim on Thursday night, after The New York Post revealed that Melissa DeRosa, Cuomo’s secretary, privately admitted that the governor’s administration withheld death data for fear that federal prosecutors would use it against them.
“At first, there was a silence on the phone,” Kim told The Post. “Then the governor says, ‘Mr. Kim, are you an honorable man?'”
Cuomo reportedly interrupted Kim while he was “in the middle of bathing my kids.” The governor asked his fellow Democrat to draft a statement “to say that Melissa DeRosa said there was a federal investigation and they had to deal with that first.”
“You have not seen my wrath. I have been biting my tongue for months,” Cuomo reportedly added. “I can tell the whole world what a bad person you are and you will be finished.”
“You will be destroyed,” the governor warned.
Kim said Cuomo yelled so loudly that “my wife could hear the governor yelling into the phone.” The threat reportedly chilled the family. “After that call, we were devastated. My wife didn’t sleep at all,” the assemblyman said.
Cuomo proceeded to call Kim repeatedly on Saturday, but he did not pick up.

That’s a big part if why Democrats have their famed party discipline. Folks that speak up can expect to be hammered. What Republican faces that kind of threat for going against Mitch or even Trump?
Cuomo has a well-deserved reputation as a very nasty and abrasive politician. Karma is coming home now that he served his purpose as a media created foil and champion against the bad orange man.
They all knew.
And said nothing.
Mitch went after Trump right after the latest shampeachment. Fortunately, Trump is strong enough to handle that, and hammered right back at McConnell.
Puts Biden is a dilemma. He really likes his fellow corrupt Democrat but after all he criticized a Chinese American. Oh my! What will he ever do?
Yeah. They have the power. They own the criminal justice system, and won’t prosecute themselves. They can and do disappear people who criticize them.
The assemblyman should take that as a threat on his life and act accordingly.
Liberals do not get how much they mimic the Fascist and Communist political style’. Cuomo’s (and Schumer’s) language and general demeanor remind me of a quote:

Kim’s family was from Korea, not China. Kim is a very common surname in Korea.

Normally Cuomo would be judged on ‘intentions’ which are always ‘good news’ for the democrat accused of wrong doing.
So this is odd.
I’m guessing Cuomo is the only democrat strong enough to stand up to the coming left wing coup... so they’re taking him out. Normally, only a Republican would be taken out for this type of ‘mistake’...
The press is capable of forgiving a democrat for almost anything... even the murder of thousands of elderly - under the guise of ‘no one understood the virus at the time... good intentions blah blah blah.
So this is odd.
Hmm... Did Cuomo discuss this with anyone else? If so it would seem to be a clear violation of the Ku Klux Klan Act.
