Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) floated Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Sunday as a possible 2024 presidential candidate.

Gaetz suggested during an interview on Fox News that the Biden administration is trying to defame him in anticipation of a potential run four years from now, WFLA reported.

That would be exciting. It would be even more exciting if he were to be President of a new nation.

Probably the best non-Trump option while keeping an eye on Noem and Hawley. Would be great to start the campaign with Florida basically off the board.

I wonder if Gaetz will run for governor.

Will our votes be counted or cancelled in 2024.
That is the larger question.

Isn’t it a little early for this speculation?
The Mid-Terms at the end of 2022 are the nearest approaching Iceberg.

Maybe it takes four years to collect the necessary monies. The days of an independent beet farmer successfully running for national office are long and gone.

In the cold calculus of elections vs age, President Trump, though great for the country and many great policies, may not be a good choice for 2024, as his age may count against him.

I wonder if he might be better to play Kingmaker and hatchet man by eliminating Rinos from the party.

DeSantis is great. Noem is great. I would support either of them.

Frankly, Noem might be the strongest of the GOP field because she has a very calm demeanor and fights back with a smile. She is much harder for the left to attack and does not appear to have any skeletons in the closet.

DeSantis, whom I like very much, has much sharper edges. I would follow him in a heartbeat, but if we can find a true conservative who believes in freedom and can articulate it calmly with a smile it has more appeal to the squishes. She also defeats the identity politics narrative.

Trump won Florida. Florida is the ultimate swing state. Care to explain how the lizard people forgot to rig Florida?

DeSantis will run for re-election. He’s up in 2022.

OK, I’d rather see Trump come back in 2024....that is my number one wish.....BUT...it’s been said he might run for the House in 2022, win and become Speaker of the House. Wouldn’t that be a hoot? Impeaching every slimeball in WDC and holding up President “Harrass’s” agenda? DeSantis and Noem sound good to me too.

What! Biden just ran, cheated and stole the 2020 election at the age of 78, and he doesn’t even have all of his marbles. But he’s President isn’t, he, and he ran at the same age Trump would be in 2024, and Trump is in excellent health and unlike Biden, is of sound mind. Trump will be an excellent choice for Prez in 2024, and I maintain will run as he is a fighter.

No, no woman just because she is a woman. I’m so sick of that, and I am a woman. It must be Trump.

Oh, that would be delightful. What a wonderful way to get back at his enemies. However, he would be one of many, and there would be no guarantees he’s be elected Speaker of the House, or would have the votes of all House RINO Pubs.
