The Tuskegee experiment was cruel and mean. But was done by people who are long gone. Get over it! Stop using Whitey as the excuse for your failures. No one is preventing you from getting the vaccine.

My thoughts exactly; seems like a misleading headline.
Black co-workers are generally afraid of the vaccine, and are content to “wait and see”; I don’t blame them (I think the same way).
Here in NJ a couple of people have told me they got it by showing up unscheduled at places where many doses were unused; they don’t “keep”, so after the “preferred people” get them (medical staff, first responders, teachers, whatever), the leftovers are given out on a first come, first serve basis.
A LOT of people being offered this vaccine are declining; in the last couple of weeks I saw a headline that 40% of the L.A. firemen refused it when offered.
