It’s kind of funny , we subsribe to a Constitutional principle of guilt proven in court before punishment, but people who claim to be conservatives are gleeful about someone being punished before their trial. Not saying she deserves better, but I am not sated by her suffering, until she has had her time in court. Extra-judicial punishment was one of the things that the Bill of Rights was meant to address.

No better than Twitter mobs.

Them’s fine sentiments indeed, but she’s clearly guilty as sin and a flight risk to boot. Besides, the chances that she’ll ever be tried, convicted and properly punished for her many crimes are slim. Remember: we don’t have a “justice system” but a legal system. Big difference. Right now she’s getting a tiny bit of the justice she deserves.

You have a point, but the reaction you describe may be caused by the fact that so many of the “elites” rarely seem to be inconvenienced in the slightest when they do wrong, never mind getting served real justice.
