We officially lost the Constitutional Republic on January 20, 2021. When a thief and whore who stole the election of 2020 were sworn in to be president and vice president instead of the duly elect President and Vice President. The United States Senate aided and abetted the theft by a vote of 93-7 thus legitimatizing the election and approving future election thefts. The Electoral College gave their approval also. The people are carrying on with their daily activities as nothing happened. They are in denial.

The truth of the matter was a coup happened on that day. An legitimate Government was replaced with an illegitimate Government. And the people don't care.

They do care and a whole bunch of them showed up in DC on the 6th and in state capitols etc on other dates to protest the usurpation. This isnt over. I dont know what comes next but this is not the end. Dark times indeed though.

Sad, but true. I agree with other comments that we do care, but your overarching point is that not enough people care enough to do something about it.
