California leaders are under fire over the state’s mixed messaging on how people with disabilities will be prioritized for the Covid-19 vaccine, a situation that advocates say has left millions of disabled and chronically ill residents in the lurch.
Last month the state’s governor, Gavin Newsom, abruptly announced California would diverge from national guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by prioritizing age, rather than underlying risk, in deciding who would get the inoculation next, arguing it would “allow us to scale up much more quickly”.
The move, however, was fiercely criticized for leaving people with a range of physical and developmental disabilities and medical conditions confused about when their turn would come. Advocates called on the state to reprioritize high-risk Californians – including people with disabilities.
However, on Friday afternoon, officials changed course, announcing that people ages 16 to 64 with high-risk conditions including cancer, kidney disease, and weakened immune systems, as well as people with developmental disabilities, will have access to Covid-19 vaccines after 15 March, along with food workers and educators. Doctors can also offer the vaccine to high-risk people who do not fall into categories set by health officials.
But the month-long wait for clarity, combined with the vagueness about which disabled residents do and do not qualify under the new policy, have only deepened frustrations.
“This new policy is not enough,” said Charis Hill, 34, a disabled activist based in Sacramento who has an autoimmune disease and takes medications that suppress their immune system. “It almost feels like too little, too late.”

First they vaccinate prisoners. Now priority will go to fatties and cripples. Next will be illegals...
Hitler started with the disabled.
If you have a autoimmune disease you would be the last person that should take the vaccines, long term effect may well be ADE and for that guy it might very well kill him.
Like when people at the gate line up to be first to board the plane.
Why?
I’m on ivermectin, D3, C, Zinc, HCQ. I’ll wait until the long term effects are known, and then maybe, maybe, get the vax.
They got waivers for completion of phase 3 clinical trials because “no other effective treat!ent” (hah!). And they skipped the long term efects results for now, too.
Scamdemic, brought to you by winnie the pooh.
What’s interesting with all the mentally deranged people (i.e. the legitimate portion of Xiden’s 81m voters) is that you could just inject them with sugar syrup or saline solution and tell ‘em it’s “the vaccine” and their social mood would instantly improve by 100%.
We have also seen that variant P.1 may be able to cause reinfection in people infected with the original Cov2 virus. A suboptimal natural response to the original variant (D614G) might be more likely to induce subsequent ADE than a robust vaccine response especially with a variant like P.1
There is precedence for this in nature. Dengue fever is frequently cited when discussing ADE. People who get it once are prone to getting it much worse if they get it again. people who get the vaccine are similarly at risk of developing the more lethal forms later if they are again exposed. Recent studies suggest that they are made susceptible to the worse form of the disease because their antibody titers have fallen after the first infection. The fact that there are 4 Dengue variants is also implicated.
The Vaccine targets the spike protein very predictably and develops predictably high levels of neutralizing antibodies which are necessary to prevent future ADE reaction. Booster shots can be administered if necessary in order to keep neutralizing antibody levels high and up to date with mutations.
A haematologist by any chance?
Indeed. Excellent advice
Actually, from my medical perspective, NO ONE should take the vaccine until secondary studies on the effect are done and the questions answered should be: #1 how many people have died from the vaccine, what were their symptoms prior to the vaccine and what were they after injection and most importantly, what medical conditions did they have initially? How do the various different types of vaccines measure up against each other the #1 question?
It would seem the death rate from this “terrible virus” is about 0.03% when healthy people regardless of age without prior conditions are NOT vaccinated.
Additionally, what does Fauci have to say? I think we should do the opposite or just ignore him. That, of course, is my opinion and exactly what I am doing.

Joseph Stolen prolly got no more than 60m legit votes.
Antibody titers are supposed to fall unless you are in the acute phase of any virus. For decades we collected serial titers to see if you are out of acute and into convalescent phase.
Severe disease can happen with any dengue infection but is more common on the second.
Harris and her colleagues found that when antibody levels fell to a certain point in children who had been previously infected, they were at greater risk of having severe dengue disease if they were again infected. In fact, for children whose antibodies fell to within this low range — a sort of anti-sweet spot — the risk was nearly eight times higher than for other children.
In contrast, higher antibody levels were protective against severe illness.
The disabled, feeble minded, sick, and Gypsies. Then went onto the Jews for the final solution. We are headed in the same direction but are expanding to any non-Muslim religion.
He tried. He thought he could get away with implementing their goal of getting rid of people with disabilities like hitler did. Just think how much money that would have saved! Money they would be able to spend on abortion, euthanasia, sex-”change” operations, and aids care.
Nice try, commie.
I thought I read in early reports that the vaccines could affect ‘autoimmune’ disease patients. NOT in a nice way, either.
China winks
Roger that.
Daughter has MS. I recommend no to her.
Evidently these disadvantaged people are confused about their own age. Perhaps the author meant “disappointed” rather than “confused”.
No. It just seemed to me if people with extreme allergies and in that guys case a immunity disorder you might not want to take such a vaccine.
