No, I wasn't in a foxhole. I was on a ship.
You couldn't figure that out from my previous reply?
I guess you can't grasp the foxhole allegory.
Ground pounder was the best you could do? Low ASVAB score?
Me, I scored so well that the Navy wanted me for sub duty but my being deaf in one ear shot that down.
No ADA back then.
philman_36 Says he wouldn't want the guy that has been in countless foxholes in his foxhole even though he's never actually been in a foxhole himself and then he insults the entire combat arms MOS. And then he claims to be some kind of smart? LMAO! I think you and your super intellect would make a great sandbag to rest my rifle on philman.
And btw, My ASVAB was high enough to do whatever I wanted and I wanted to be infantry because I love that sh^^.
I guess you can't grasp the foxhole allegory.
Whatever you say sandbag. You wouldn't last 8 seconds in a real foxhole but you already knew that.
My first respect goes out to you grunts on the ground who have experienced so much loss of life and limb in our useless nation building.
However, you grunts should realize that in this age of sophisticated weaponry around the world, ships are floating coffins if hit in the wrong place. From the smallest Frigate to the largest Carrier, hundreds to thousands could go down. Yes, Navy has less direct combat risk, but at risk for higher casualties with just one missle or torpedo.
Hey guys, we're on the same team.
