On January 19, 2021 the DOJ announced it was dropping its investigation of GOP Senator Richard Burr of NC for insider trading. On February 13, 2021 Burr voted to convict Donald Trump. Coincidence?

The number one goal for all of us should be eradicate political careers. Term limits need to be the norm.
If we are to have checks and balances in a separate but equal three-prong form of government, then all three prongs need to be guided by term limits - not just the executive branch. Power without absolute limitations on the duration of power leads almost inevitably to abuse of that power.
There can be no long-term representative government when power is held by a self-interested oligarchy who are willing to foment hatred among the populace in order to maintain their own power.
