1:49 Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) signed legislation Friday to abolish the requirement that law-abiding citizens acquire a concealed carry permit in order to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense.

The NRA-ILA reports that Cox signed House Bill 60 into law. They noted that HB60 allows “a law-abiding adult to carry a concealed firearm in the State of Utah, without first needing to obtain government permission.”

This was posted last night but in case some missed it, here you go. States that know what's coming now acting to preserve the 2nd Amendment. I hope this becomes a trend.

“Yet these people elected Mutt.”

Fortunately Mitt is not governor anymore. He would have vetoed this.

I don’t think he was ever governor of Utah. He was governor of Massachusetts, where he was probably an improvement over what they usually have.

government bureaucrazy or paperwork (registration, licensing, etc.) do nothing to make anybody safe from anything.
Neither is safety the only goal

That’s correct. He went to Mass to run for governor because his politics fit there, not in Utah.

Utah 40 miles from me, wish Colorado would pass this but I highly doubt it with our commie governor in charge.

Yes and no. At first, he seemed to be. But, in the last years of his term, he was more interested in running for President, and rather passive in dealing with the very Democrat dominated legislature.

It really ticked me off when he pushed RomneyCare through in MA, because IMHO it looked like he was doing it in large part so he could say, "I solved the healthcare and insurance problems in my state."

I remember that craven move. It was like the teacher’s pet kid in school making the big score with an apple.

Eliminating CC permits was the one good thing Frank Murkowski did as governor of Alaska some years ago - other than that, he was a dud like his daughter.

. . . with Donald Trump's endorsement. I don't know what he was thinking . . . that Mutt would show some basic gratitude in return.

Fwiw, I have a cousin on the state committee who can't stand Mutt. Mutt couldn't get a majority at the state convention and so had to run in a primary. She thinks the Donald's endorsement made all the difference.

“...he was a dud like his daughter.”

That wishy-washy woman is incredibly annoying. I bet she gets lost going to the grocery store because she can’t decide which route to take. I’d think everyone on both sides would hate her but yet she gets elected. Is it useless competition plus name recognition perhaps?

Constitutional carry in only 17 states? Shows that we need a lot of work!

Yep.
With the exception of New Mexico, Colorado is surrounded by constitutional carry states.
I guarantee that vote fraud is big here.
