I listened to an administrative corrections officer, who said that she didn’t have a carry permit and preferred constitutional carry. Her reason, alluding to corruption, was that she didn’t trust anyone. She had many years behind her in that kind of work, and she’s not alone with that perspective and opinion.
My only reason to get the permit, it pushes the legal liabilities associated with carrying and where the lines are to the usage of a weapon. Many don’t know and even if charges aren’t pressed lawsuits can follow with a lower bar of proof. Buying a gun and ammo and sticking it in your pocket is only the beginning.
