Bruce Springsteen took 45 steps instead of the requested 18 when he was arrested for DWI, a New Jersey police report says, refused a breath test and 'strongly smelt of alcohol'.
The singer's blood alcohol level was, however, reportedly well within the legal limit.
The Boss, 71, was in the Gateway National Recreation Area on Sandy Hook on November 14 when he was arrested and charged for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and drinking in a closed area.
The incident reportedly unfolded after the Thunder Road singer pulled over on his motorbike to take a picture with fans and accepted a tequila shot from one of them in full view of watching police.

Let him drink himself to death! M-fing Communist ass hole!
What can you say about about a washed-up drunk who had three great tunes from the 1980s?
No-talent douchebag who made a fortune screaming into a microphone.
Perhaps he was blinded by the light.
Drinking and riding a cycle? One of the stupidest things you can do and live. If yer lucky...
41 Shots...of tequila.
0.02?
Give me a break, stupid cops, even my lawyer could beat that
His white privilege will save him from any punishment.
Bruce only has hundreds of millions but no Uber was available in the state of New Jersey so... š±
Donāt understand this. I thought the field sobriety tests were administered to determine a blood test was warranted. And that if you passed the blood test, you skate. No??
Donāt see how he will be convicted. He will cop to a much lesser charge, the one for drinking in a closed area, and walk. Thatās my prediction.
Probably followed with a "Don't you know who I am?" when they stopped him.
He refused the breathalyzer at first and we donāt know how long between first contact and the actual test was taken.
From a few minutes of āresearchā online it appears that you burn about 0.016% per hour. So if he was .02% several hours later (letās say 4 hours later) .02 + (0.016*4) = .084%.
Now, I personally believe that BAC is a poor indicator of actual intoxication because there are plenty of people that are safer at .10 or higher than other people that are .05% but that is the system we have.
