LONDON (Reuters) - Amsterdam has displaced London as Europe's biggest share trading centre after Britain left the European Union's single market, and picked up a chunk of UK derivatives business along the way, according to data published on Thursday. Stock exchanges in the Dutch capital traded 9.2 billion euros ($11.15 billion) a day in January, compared to London's 8.6 billion, according to the Cboe exchange, which operates in both cities.

It was always the intent of taking all of British assets onto the European continent to lock Britain into the EU and prevent it from leaving without become devastatingly impoverished.

Given the choice, I would take Amsterdam over London. Better food, museums, and party.

Supposedly, my great-great grandfather was some kind of merchant in Amsterdam. His son immigrated to the US in the late 1800’s and died in 1936. I was born in 1956

Effectively, Europe agreed to be ruled by Germany and their little French Poodle. Ironic. At least UK was able to get out, even if the price was high. Now I suspect Biden will join Europe to make it even more painful. An example to anyone else with thoughts of escape.

One suspects that London (and the UK) will greatly outpace the EU at some point. There’s an efficiency that comes with not having a collection of dependent and failing nations at your doorstep.

So now Amsterdam gets to be overrun with Moslems from the Middle East and blacks from Africa instead of London. It’s all good!

Losing this portion of the fake financial economy primed for collapse is a blessing for the post-Brexit UK not a curse, you Reuters globalist hacks.
