We have been running around a million first shots for a few weeks, and those second shots are coming up. Second shots are now rising towards a million per day as well. The ratio of second shots to first shots (.76) is the highest yet.
On hand inventory rose slightly, to near 22 million doses. That is up from a low of around 17 million, after the new Admin initially changed the reservation policy (which had required not giving a first shot, until the second was on hand, in inventory). Either the policy is shifting back, deliveries are growing, or first shots have slowed (or some combo).
Anyhow, a good solid day, firing on all cylinders.

Study finds CDC inflated COVID numbers by 1,600%
A late 50 something lady friend and her adult daughter with some severe health issues got their second Pfizer shot yesterday. Their original shots were received as substitutes for those, who did not show up for their shots.
Her daughter is doing okay. Our friend has a temp of about one degree and feels like someone hit her shoulder with a club or bat. She didn’t go to work today and is off tomorrow. They got the Pfizer Shot.
Many of our good friends and relatives across the country and here are up for their 2nd shots next week.
The main issue for many of our 75 year old plus friends/relatives in many states is just getting on line or a phone to reserve the first shot.
Doesn’t really jive with the fact that 2020 saw a 17% jump in new deaths. Normal year-over-year changes are 0.3% - 0.7%. 472,000 extra deaths.
Blame the governors like Newsom and Cuomo (among others) who did nothing to protect seniors, but did force nursing homes to accept known-infected patients. Wiped out tens of thousands of defenseless elderly folks. And now Joe Biden wants to try and take credit for the Trump vaccines.

Deaths in 2020 were ~472,000 higher than 2019.

Number of deaths in the US in 2019: 2,854,838 (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db395.htm)
Number of deaths in the US in 2020: 3,326,841 (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/COVID19/index.htm - Preliminary but still rising)
Those are the actual numbers. The Johns Hopkins numbers compared February through Sept 5th against all of 2019. The story you linked to conveniently forgot about that. Look at the graphic in your own link: it has the dates right there. And look at the source link for that graphic.
Oh look! It’s the same source as the ones I posted above! Your own link is based on the sources I posted above. They just manipulated the dates comparing 3/5ths of 2020 to all of 2019.
