Just another reminder of the industrial waste level of Dhimmicrat hypocrisy.
As it happens in 2016 Trump had two faithless electors and Clinton had five. Be careful of what you wish for.
You ain't kidding. There's also this from the article: "Harvard constitutional law professor Lawrence Lessig and law firm Durie Tangri have offered to provide free legal counsel to Republican electors who break from their states’ popular votes."
That didn't work out so well. Three of Clinton's faithless electors were fined $1,000 each under Washington's faithless elector law, and indeed Lawrence Lessig represented them all the way to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court unanimously upheld the fine in Chiafalo v. Washington last year, holding that punitive faithless elector laws do not violate the constitution.
As the opinion, authored Justice Kagan, Lessig's former boss at Harvard Law, no less: "The Electors’ constitutional claim has neither text nor history on its side. Article II and the Twelfth Amendment give States broad power over electors, and give electors themselves no rights." Good job, Larry.
Does President Trump remain in the running for a participation trophy??
Yep. The second of the endless coup attempts.
