Anyone who's ever been to India (as I have) knows that it takes a breathtaking amount of chutzpah for *India* to demand safety documentation from a major Western drug company.

But then maybe the Indian government's attitude is: "we could certainly do with about 50 million fewer 80 year olds so maybe we'll just take a pass on these vaccines".

Cynical? Yes. But you can bet your last nickel that that's the attitude that the Butchers of Beijing have toward *their* people.

Indians generally don't pack off parents into old age homes. The proportion of elderly dying of the ChinaVirus here in India is not as high as in the US or Europe though due to co-morbidities like Hypertension and Diabetes, it is higher in that age group as compared to the general population.

Note that the total number of cases in the whole country yesterday was 9353 with 85 fatalities.

Because of this there is high vaccine resistance. And why that idiot PM of Canada managed to get AstraZeneca doses fast. And India is supplying free doses in the neighbourhood.
