House Democrats' COVID-19 relief package unveiled last night includes $100 million for EPA to address "health outcome disparities from pollution and the COVID-19 pandemic," per House Energy and Commerce Committee bill text.
How it works: The proposed funding would provide $50 million for grants, contracts and other activities, and another $50 million for EPA-funded air quality monitoring and related efforts, panel Democrats said.
And it also provides $4.5 billion to the federal government's Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

Slush funds.
But if low income people spend and extra $4.5B in extra energy to heat their homes; won’t that create more pollution?
If it does, we’ll have to tax the pollution generators. If they stop producing pollution (because they shut down), we’ll subsidize them. If they keep producing pollution, we’ll regulate them to death.
Well, of course. Any opportunity to divert funds to their pet lobbyists (and get kickbacks) is a good opportunity for the left.
It’s exactly the way they turn every other issue into a way to both personally profit and to drive people apart. The actual issue is irrelevant. Helping people who are suffering because of the pandemic is not their goal.
