There’s not a single year over past twenty in Germany, where electrical consumption decreased...which is really the blunt end of this discussion.
This past week, a dozen-odd electrical buses got delivered to my local area (Wiesbaden). There’s supposed to be more diesel or natural gas buses retired because of this.
The idea about all electrical car sales by 2030? Just driving the consumption rate even higher.
Poles, French and Czechs are just grinning...they can increase their plants and be assured of increased profits because the Germans will have to pay more.
Yup.
Coming to a deep blue state near you.

It’s definitely a saner place.
They don’t want nuclear, coal or petroleum products. So freeze in the dark, dummkopfs!
They need more electric cars to help lower the availability of electric power.

Considering that both the Russians and Poles never drank the same Kool Aid as the Germans and other Western Europeans, this is a very good thing for them. Hopefully, both Poland and Russia IMPOSE TERMS on the rest of Europe, forcing them to re-civilize, unless they want to freeze.
And how much of that French power is nuclear still?
So the Germans are still dependent on nuclear energy; they’re just paying more for it. Fools. I understand wanting to move off of coal. It’s dirty and ruins the area around the coal plant as well as the areas where it’s mined. But nuclear is clean, safe energy. Per tW-h, it’s the safest form of energy production on the planet. Safer than solar, wind, and hydro.

Western Civilization is committing suicide and the chicoms and muzzies are laughing their hinders off as they sit back and watch.
The French grid is about 70-percent nuclear power, and it’s only going to 50-percent by 2035.
As the Germans see it....they think their solar/wind strategy will cover things. Once that fails, they will go to the ‘merchants’ (neighbors) and buy at substantial rates, and they won’t care if it’s clean or not.
Alot of this anti-nuke power hype goes back to Japan’s episode, and a tremendous amount of hype/propaganda that revolved around that.
My suspicion is that once you get to 10-percent of cars being battery-powered, the complexity of the grid will be some national emergency and monthly electrical bills will go up to 200 Euro per house/apartment while they go resolve the mess they created.
Solar panels have an energy cost.
Installing them has an energy cost.
Replacing solar panels has an energy cost...
Living in a state of delusion has a global cost...
