The author is correct. A third party is definitely not the answer. Name one third party candidate that has ever been elected to an office (Dog Catcher does not count)

“The author is correct. A third party is definitely not the answer.”

Explain to me how the GOP is the answer?

If they do nothing the Dems win and if they start a Protest everywhere in the country the Dems win by declaring Marshal Law

and phase out the old establishment fossils who forgot what we stand for.

I agree there are big problems with forming a new party; however, the writer's characterization that old fixtures in the party "forgot what we stand for" is 100% horse manure. Those people hate us flyover conservatives and theirs is a perpetual game of misleading us for support and making promises to us they NEVER intend to fulfill . . . flat out lying to us routinely. THAT is why we elected Trump in the first place and why we fought for his re-election.

MAJOR PRESSURE pressure needs to be put on low-lifes like McConnell, Romit, Toomey, Cornyn and others that their flim-flam is no longer workable. Be a real conservative that supports your real base or get the hell out. We are going to have to breathe fire at them to make it happen.

“ Democrats are known for overreaching, for pushing the envelope too far. ”

I keep hearing this phrase/theory a lot, but it seems that they keep getting away with it. Never compromising, always pulling the right to the middle and then renegotiating from there.

Well, good luck to all you who will remain in the Republican Party. I for one will never vote for a Republican again as even if they claim to be Trumpers. .one can not believe them. Look at Cornyn, Cruz and Chip. I’ve had my fill of these rascals.

It's far too late to work within the system.

This article is bunk.

The durability of Conservatism has depended, to a great extent,
on it being a disposition rather than a philosophy.
What marks Conservatives out, across the generations,
and whatever the environment they operate in,
is an attitude of mind rather than an adherence to dogma.

And that disposition
- skeptical, cautious, pragmatic, sensitive to the local and the particular
- has been politically successful because it has been in tune with human nature.

Michael Gove

The Dems will overshoot, destroy themselves and the Republic.
The Democracy they espouse, never survives unfettered self interest,
Eventually, after much suffering, something else will emerge.

Love God, Love Neighbor as Thyself, Love your family,
provide for and protect them, if necessary, die for them.
It is the ancient way

The GOP agenda is the opposite of MAGA.

We will never Make America Great Again voting for Republicans who want into make America into North Mexico.

It stands to reason that republican voters are a lot like republican politicians. They’ll claim now they’ll refuse to vote again for the perennial loser republican party and then when the times comes, they will.

They’ll reason we have to because the democrats are worse even after watching them conspire to rig the POTUS election for the “opposition”. Republican voters are afraid and the GOP is practically irrelevant as a national entity and always will be.

I think the solution is to reorganize on a local level outside the existing political system.

Both major parties are only debating the size of the chains and the size and scope of the Socialist Welfare State Big Government Super Bureaucracy that exists and will not be eliminated under any circumstances.

A vote for a Republican or a Democrat is a vote for unfree government with each faction wanting to put the other faction in prison or sanction it.
