Hungary’s minister for families believes that “the demographic crisis of the Western world” is one of its greatest challenges, and that without serious action to support parents “Europe will be lost.”
Discussing some of the wider issues around Hungary’s world-leading programme of support for people to have families — as an alternative to mass migration, which the country’s conservative government sees as undesirable due to the long-term impact on social cohesion and the national culture — Minister Novák dismissed any suggestion that the policies are “leftist” merely because they involve state support.
“I would never declare our family policies leftist. We give chance, the freedom of choice, real opportunities,” said the Hungarian stateswoman, whose prime minister, Viktor Orbán, has indeed been at pains to criticise many Westerners and the European Union for “making excuses for the crimes of communism” in years gone by.
“Since 2010, we have been elected three times by a two-thirds majority in each case. Hungarian people gave us a clear authorisation, which we need to follow… to address Hungarians’ belief that the future lies in the increased support of families,” Novák insisted.

We should ask why, so many people do not focus on marriage amd family as important life goals.
My only thought is that for many young people, both men and women, the ideas of marriage and children are an afterthought, and not something they focus on as important. They look at career development and vacations as mkre important than their future potential lives as parents.
And with people marrying lster and having children later than in previous generations, families end up having fewer children if they have children at all.
Well there is no more middle ground. You either are born into wealth or have a career. The other option is make minimum wage. Careers take time to develop. Thanks Free Traitors for off shoring good paying blue collar jobs...
I admire Hungary. They remember their history.
They remember that Hungary was conquered and ruled by the Muslim Ottoman Empire from 1541 to 1699. The Siege of Buda (4 May – 21 August 1541) ended with the capture of the city of Buda, Hungary by the Ottoman Empire, leading to 150 years of Muslim Ottoman control of Hungary. The Hungarians were tricked by the Muslims who moved in as friends and then betrayed the Hungarians.
The Ottomans then occupied the city of Buda, which in its turn was celebrating the liberation, with a trick: Ottoman Suleiman the Magnificent invited the infant John II Sigismund Zápolya with the Hungarian noblemen into his tent for a friendly banquet feast, meanwhile the Turkish troops began to slowly infiltrate into the fort as “tourists” seemingly in admiration of the architecture of the buildings.
However, at a sudden alert they wielded their weapons and disarmed the guards and the whole garrison thereafter. At the same time, the Hungarian noblemen felt uncomfortable in the sultan’s tent and wanted to leave.
In that moment, on the signal outcry of the sultan “The black soup (coffee) is still to come!” (Hungarian: “Hátra van még a feketeleves!”) the Turkish soldiers disarmed the Hungarian envoy.
I recently visited the Hungarian History Museum in the Castle in Budha. This historic mistake is outlined on the museum walls in detail. It left a distrust of Muslims in Hungarians and is the basis of not accepting Muslim immigrants. They come in as friends and then wage war from the inside.

There are plenty of good-paying blue-collar jobs for qualified applicants. Area plumbing and electrical contractors are offering $2,000-$3,000 signing bonuses. Apprentice plumbers earn an average of $50,000. A big problem for local employers is that almost half of all applicants can’t pass drug or criminal-background screens. The BMW plant near Greenville, SC fires ten workers, on average, per week because of violations of company policies against on-site drug and firearms possession. (You can have a firearm locked in your car in the parking lot but not on your person or in your locker in the factory.)
Pretty much the entire world has stopped reproducing, even in many Muslim countries. The Ayatollah isn’t too happy about that. The only places with somewhat higher birth rates are Israel and sub-Saharan Africa.
Both my boys married older than my generation, both have 1 child each. And don’t want more, the near 50 yr old I can understand, but not the 35 yr old. Eldest has a19 yr old, youngest 3 yr old. Lost the 2 in the middle.
My mom’s had a verity from the 6 girls, from 2 to 6. Her mom had 8.
There is no ideal reproductive rate but it shouldn’t be 2.1-Three kids per couple might be too much but there are too many confirmed bachelorettes who need to bring in ONE child and let some religious family raise it. Just look at all the Hollywood stars raising African kids. Certainly not religious but they’re doing God’s work. I feel the same way about gays raising some one else’s. It’s stability. Add government policy and it’s doable.
Divide and Rule.
A factionalized population is easier for a central elite to control than a homogeneous nation with shared culture.
With Western governments hating their own people, off shoring our jobs, raising taxes and allowing anti-family brainwashing on TV, is it any wonder no one wants to have kids? The Left destroyed the family, urged men and women to see marriage and children as a burden, promoted easy abortion and divorce.
