What really happened on Jan. 6, 2021? The nation still doesn’t know the whole of it, but by all accounts on the Left and from center-right Fox News it was America’s darkest moment since 9/11, Donald Trump’s Waterloo, and the abyss of the Right. As a participant at the Save America Rally, my own perceptions were rather different. As a result of the events of Jan. 6 and its aftermath, the mainstream media have badly overplayed their hand. We can now begin to see without illusions, that the managerial and media elites are waging scorched-earth class warfare against the populist Right. In recognition of that reality lies the hope of rebirth.
How did it all start? The answer is still a matter of investigation, but it’s clear that confusion reigned at the Capitol even before President Trump’s speech at the Ellipse ended. Timelines from The Washington Post and The Epoch Times agree that the breach on the northwest side of the Capitol began 20 to 30 minutes before his speech ended, belying the idea that Trump himself ordered the siege. Multiple authorities agree that Trump’s speech contained no such incitement. Evidence continues to mount that bad actors planned the breach weeks in advance and that the FBI had advance warning at least two days beforehand.

All sides agree that the Capitol Police were undermanned and unprepared for the waves of protestors pushing against the temporary barriers. What the organizers of the “Save America Rally” had planned for the afternoon remains a mystery. Trump said, “I’ll be with you,” to his audience at the Ellipse, but there was no podium or stage set at the Capitol, and he was a no-show.

It was the “Stop The Steal” rally. Not “Save America”. That’s because the election was stolen. The other implies that we’re simply upset with the outcome and are poor losers. Not the f’n case

At the time, Thomas Fleming was the editor. They were not what they presented themselves as then and are not now. They think they are intellectuals. I admit their grasp of history was broad, but their motives were not.
They called themselves Paleo Conservatives. I eventually realized that they were an Odd Bunch of Catholics. They published the Intellectual Right wing who saw Monarchies as a respectable form of government. And stranger they even ran article of people like hard left Norm Chomsky.
Long and short? They do not represent Freedom and Liberty but a dictatorship of the “intellectuals”.
Yes, they feel they are chosen to rule us.
I admit the last time I read the magazine was in the early 1980’s. I’m sure Thomas Fleming is gone by now (I later learned here on FR that there were 2 Thomas Flemings, not at all alike.)

Which is the big question. Black Lives Matter comes to town and you have riot police and National Guard all over the Capitol. But for this you have a normal shift of officers. It's almost like someone was hoping for the results that they got and made sure that if it happened then the visuals of the riot would be as disturbing as possible. All the better to make Trump and his supporters look bad.
i didn’t feel afraid at the january 6th rally... neither did the chinese ladies for trump who i interviewed.

was heading to the Capitol when i found myself cold and tired and at a metro station so i went home...
The angle of the gun did not line up with Ashley's neck, f'rinstance .... the windows were shown to be virtually unbreakable except for the entire glass that "fell out" that Ashley got up into ... the rough handling of "a girl just shot ... The lack of ANYONE focusing on the shooter ... etc., etc.
Too many un answered and overlooked, un aired/published anomalies
It was screw up - the black gal was a no show. As it turns out, Ashli was still alive after she was declared dead in the hallway, as evidenced by her attempt to talk as she was being carried away.
Then there is the blood. What blood? There are only a small round 1-2 inch spot and a few very tiny droplets, no huge pools of blood which you would see if she had really been shot. Some have said she was shot in the neck, others in the chest; if she was shot in the chest, why do they do CPR on her which would have elicited fountains of blood? If she were shot in the neck, why is there no hole from which blood would be pouring out?
Also, notice there is no police attempt to secure the scene, one hapless cop even steps on the small spot and smears it around.
What about the shooter who has been IDed but never charged? Did he really shoot her? There was no sound recorded of a shot fired in an enclosed space which would have been very loud; the angle of the shot would have missed her completely; what about all the people walking nonchalantly around on the shooter's side of the Office entrance? Was he never charged because he shot no one?

Were all these people actors? People in the crowd outside seem to have thought so. The whole thing seems to make more sense viewed as a skit from a larger play.

We were on the lawn of the Capitol. We were about 200’ from the building. Close enough to get a few whiffs of teargas.
The police were ludicrously unprepared. They were tossing flashbangs and teargas into the crowd. There didn’t seem to be any reason and there was no crush to get in.
A few people got up onto the scaffolding and bleachers. They stood tall and waved flags. I saw no attempt to enter the building. (That was all apparently on the other side of the building)
We were loud and angry. But peaceful. It was not a planned event. There was no stage and no loudspeakers.
There were no porta potties. One friend found a pine tree and joined others as he watered the tree of liberty.
We left around 4pm and were almost at the car when we heard about Antifa breaking windows with hammers. We didn’t hear about the breach until we got home.
I’ve heard the FBI is contacting anyone they can find who attended. Go for it. “I was exercising my rights to redress a government grievance under the First Amendment. Now get off my porch.”

Yes. It was a enthusiastic and peaceful gathering.
The assault on the capital was a planned event. It was planned to disrupt the discussion of election fraud by congress. It was going on at the time of the assault.
