And, let's not forget that Ben Sasse was a Tea Party-backed:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702304081804579560532888891064

Nebraska Republicans on Tuesday chose Ben Sasse, a university president and former health-care official in the George. W. Bush administration, as their nominee for an open Senate seat, leaving him poised to become the next senator in the antiestablishment mold of Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas).

The Associated Press declared Mr. Sasse the winner of the GOP primary over Omaha banker Sid Dinsdale and former state Treasurer Shane Osborn. Mr. Sasse was backed by a range of conservative and tea-party groups and leaders, Mr. Cruz among them.

Yeah. At some point, it seems, the “investment” community sticks its nose in and screws up philosophical conservatism. Always twisting to the “group” needs as they determine it.

Trying to find a good written piece on this phenomena. Oddly, the most immediate sticking memory is the story of a very different political outcome: how Lenin rose to power over the mostly disorganized committed social revolutionaries, going right through Trotsky purists (often ridiculously called “conservative Bolsheviks”..unbelievable). The answer in Lenin’s case was ruthlessness of party discipline, and the use of force.
Just thinking out loud— first we have to get in and not be a “Tea Party” but a soft gloved steel fisted large volume of not to be screwed with, for lack of a better word— people who fight, and fight back hard. MAGA and Patriot— 1776 fervor.... not (T)axed (E)nough (A)lready green eye shade conservatives (whom we all loved but who did not have the resiliency against the political reprobates of the machine Repubs. Not do all this an provide easy targets for the ultra lib clowns with the trust funds and NE pedigrees.

Thinking about this a lot- as are many here, certainly.

Nope! Wyoming is stuck with her. However their is a little known way to remove any official. Its called a “brick recall”. You hurl a bunch of bricks at the politician, and when they round you up and ask if you threw a brick, you reply “I dont recall!”

I love it!

Resign you bitter backstabbing hag.

How about her leader Kevin? He get a pass? He could have removed her all by himself instead he held a secret vote and rounded up his team to keep her in her position, real democratic of him there.

I suppose someone could bring up an ethics charge which would cause her to step put of her position like Ryan did to Nunes.
