The rift in conservatism isn’t due to “ideological purity” and I didn’t say that, because I despise the concept of “Ideological purity”.

Please tell me where I even inferred idiotic “ideological purity”. It has NOTHING to do with that.

It is quite a different thing to ally with and support people who are wholly supportive of the type of illegality that we have seen the past five years, which is what the Republican Party has done.

If we ally with and support Republicans who act in this fashion just once, shame on them. If we do it repeatedly for five years, shame on us.

And if you think this is just me talking about what you refer to as an asinine “ideological purity”, and not the sentiment of millions of people who we should listen to and take into account due to the betrayal of the past four years, then you aren’t paying attention.

Donald Trump is not leaving the Republican Party and is not forming a new one. He’s clear on that. The rift among conservatives between the paleos and neos began long before Trump came on the scene.
