Days after eliminating tens of thousands of jobs by terminating the Keystone Pipeline and halting drilling on Federal Lands, Joe Biden gave a speech in which he said “Today is ‘Climate Day’ at the White House and -- which means that today is ‘Jobs Day’ at the White House.’” He explained that he would hire Americans to modernize the infrastructure so that it can withstand the increase in hurricanes resulting from global warming. As is true for all of his climate policies, this is delusional.
Increased hurricanes resulting from global warming? In the 51 years from 1915, 19 major hurricanes hit the Atlantic coast; in the 51 years to 2016, just seven did. In the last 11 years, only two hurricanes greater than category three hit the continental USA -- a record low since 1900. From 1915 to 1926, 12 hit.
Biden said his administration would hire people to transform the American electrical sector to produce power without carbon pollution and provide rebates so that Americans would buy electric cars. He said jobs would be created for Americans to build electric charging stations all over the country. He plans to replace with electricity all the energy we get from gas.
Where is all that electricity going to come from? In the same speech, he answered that question. He said: “We’re going to take money and invest it in clean energy jobs in America -- millions of jobs in wind, solar, and carbon capture” and “We need solar energy cost-competitive with traditional energy.”
There’s a fundamental problem with that. Solar energy isn’t anywhere close to being cost-competitive with traditional energy even when the sun is shining. Neither is wind power. This fact alone means that for every job that Biden creates multiple jobs will be lost.

The most moronic thing about wind and solar energy is the matter of continual reliability. Solar is only efficient for 4 to 6 hours a day on sunny days. Wind is only good when it blows. We have yet to solve the mass storage issue that might enable wind and solar to be more reliable. Until then, if ever, we either use natural gas or coal, or we end up like California and we have days long blackouts nationwide. And no time in our lifetimes or for multiple generations will we see “clean energy” get a 767 off the ground. Or a G6 for that matter. Or a helicopter. It’s all such folly to think otherwise. I to believe they know it won’t work. I believe they know they are running a con. But so many I know just fall for it hook line and sinker. Biden and his gang just spout it to put average Americans in a position of full reliance on government.
Where are the Energy States filing suit against this fiat action?
“Alternative energy” as it now exists is incapable for powering a 21st century civilization. Look ay California , with all the blackouts and brownouts this summer!!!!
Electric cars are not affordable for most people. And the energy to power “universal” electric cars does not exist—nor can it with current “renewable” technologies.
If you want to reduce CO2, etc. you have to go back to the drawing board!!!! Some research proposals that were approved under the Trump administration are designed to do just that! biden’s proposals can only turn us into a Fourth World country, run by a brutal dictatorship!!!!

A man I heard giving objections to electric car takeover said if you have a hotel with 190 rooms, and an apartment complex with 280 apartments and a block with 45 houses, their electric cars will require fully operational rechargers and electricity for 190, 280 and 45 cars sitting all night getting recharged. That's a lot of retooling and a heck of a lot of electric current to be produced. Multiply that all over America in every town and city.

Windmills, solar panels, electric cars, etc, doesn’t works without subsidies for the builder and tax right offs for the buyer. These people have watched too much Star Trek.

Wind, solar and biofuels are the energy sources of the Roman Empire and will produce the same standard of living.
Solar panels and batteries do work ; and so does gasoline ; and so does JP 4. and so does hydrogen fir that matter !
and so does all kinds of other different things you can put in a tank or a big square metal block
