A new coronavirus treatment developed at Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Medical Center appears to have cured 29 of 30 moderately-ill and seriously-ill COVID-19 patients, the hospital said. The patients were released within 3 to 5 days of being treated..
This was only the first stage of trials and many months and thousands of patients will have to be treated before anything definitive can be said about the treatment. But the drug apparently works on the immune system to prevent a cytokine storm, which often leads to critical illness and death.
Nadir Arber, the professor who invented the potential treatment, hailed the announcement as a “huge breakthrough.” The substance, known as EXO-CD24 will now move on to Phase 2 of the trials, which involve large-scale human testing.

The interesting thing about a treatment that attacks cytokine storms is that scientists around the world have been looking at ways to “shut off” the overreaction of the immune system as a path to a cure for COVID-19. It was known early on that any cure would necessarily have to find the appropriate cytokine in order to target it. Have the Israeli scientists found a cure?

Another plus for XO-CD24 is that it’s inexpensive. Even if the vaccines become widely available, a relatively cheap drug to treat anyone who gets sick would be welcome.
It’s possible that in 5 or 10 years, people will look back on 2020 and wonder what all the fuss was about.

Therapeutics are where its at. My neighbor after contracting the Vid was told to stay home and see how it goes and if he got worse, go to the hospital. 2 weeks later he’s dead. Should have been put right on a therapeutic instead of waiting and ending up in the hospital.

I called my own family medicine (general) doc TWICE and got the same God Damned response from his assistant both times. They REALLY piss me off.
I contacted Push Health, got a telemedicine consultation (by email), and had Ivermectin within 24 hours. I've got a full prescription of Doxycycline from late 2020 that I didn't use.
To make sure I have enough on hand, I then contacted Dr. George Fareed and had a phone consultation. He sent in prescriptions for HCQ, Ivermectin, and Doxy (he believes in improved efficacy if both HCQ and Ivermectin are used in conjunction). The pharmacist warned me that Ivermectin is not effective! I contradicted him and told him about the numerous clinical trials all over the world showing remarkable efficacy. Unfortunately the pharmacist wouldn't fill the HCQ prescription without a diagnosis of COVID!

Unfortunately, my immunologist recommended I not get the vaccine until we have a few months of experience with anaphylaxis reactions to it.

One has to take charge of one’s own care when dealing with the medical establishment.
My own experience is that if you’re a well-informed and energetic advocate for yourself, you can quickly move from the “this is the standard of care” to “ok, we can try something more aggressive.”
Two points: 1) if you’re enrolled in a large managed care plan (like Kaiser), you’ll probably have to go outside of the plan and 2) You’ll need to open your wallet, but usually not as wide as you might expect.
You can get what you need, but you have to push.

“Proof” will have to await the outcome of the stage 2 and stage 3 trials. The experimental drug was given to moderately to severely ill hospitalized patients, so your 99.997% cure rate is not relevant to the treated group.

I think the theft of the 2020 Presidential Election, and the subsequent Fascist takeover of the United States might qualify as fuss. Particularly due to the massive and very widespread fraud and censorship that distorted and prolonged the pandemic and killed tens of thousands of people, all for the sake of destroying a political rival, and subjugation of the American People.
The lies piled up to the ceiling, all a matter of exploiting the ignorant fear of disease and establishing an oppressive one party state. So many lies were told by those who cynically used these fears for illegitimate political power grabs, that the oligarchs have begun to forget what they originally fear mongered. This to the point of the absurd situation we find ourselves in.

Everybody I know either has gotten hcQ before now, or Ivermectin now, from their Dr., if they have a decent Dr. The people that can’t get the Ivermectin go to Tractor Supply and get some. It’s in the horse meds aisle. You can find out proper dosage doing some interwebs research. (But now the scumbags are trying to purge this info.)

Absolutely none. I feel fine. I take 5 mg of Melatonin (past ten years) and sleep fine.

I went to a hospital in Seattle to get tested after not feeling well, was negative, and asked what if I had tested positive and was told to go home and take Tylenol. Unbelievable.
My husband got COVID and Dr said since his lungs and oxygen were ok he didn't need any drugs like HCQ, etc. Fortunately husband is ok but seems like they want you to get to the point of a ventilator before they figure you need anything other than over the counter pills.
What is wrong with our doctors? Are they all democrats?

A friend stayed home until he collapsed. They took him to the ER, but they had no beds. He said there were gurneys in the hallway and in the waiting room. People were getting IV’s in their cars.
He got 3 bags of IV and was sent home.

It was largely “Follow the CDC guidelines. If you get sick, we’ll hospitalize you and put you on a ventilator.” My God!

CD24 is a kind of protein on the surface of lymphocytes, an antigen.
So XO-CD24 would be an easily synthesized protein?
